An exhibition of artworks made by musicians on behalf of War Child
In total 23 participating musicians created a piece of work for this event around the person who represents for them, a musical milestone. The pieces in this exhibition are linked by this common theme - referring back to a musician or band, who was inspirational to the artist. This Gallery shows a selection of these Milestone Artworks. Schedule
The works were sold at auction during a sparkling charity dinner at the Saatchi Gallery in north London on Tuesday 4th February. Following the auction, the work was exhibited to the general public in the ground floor gallery of the Economist Plaza in St James’s Street London, from 6th to 16th February 1997.
